The classic X28 Factory Carbon 29 inch wheelset - built with Berd PolyLight spokes. Berd spokes are made from an advanced polymer (UHMWPE) that has 15 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and floats on water. Berd spokes have an improved fatigue life compared to steel and are impervious to the elements.
V2 Ratchet System:
Durability and Efficiency: The X28's V2 36 tooth ratchet system is engineered to increase the hub's durability by reducing the number of components, resulting in fewer points of failure. The V2 ratchet system features a rubber dampening ring built into the outer ratchet ring. This refines the hubs sound and creates a tighter overall fit which eliminates play in the mechanism.
Weight Reduction: By incorporating a single spring into the ratchet system, the hubs achieve a significant reduction in weight. This contributes to faster and more responsive performance.
Coating and engagement: The V2 ratchet rings are electroplated in a durable coating which ensures swift, smooth engagement and reduces wear on the teeth.
No-Tool Driver:
Ease of Conversion: The no-tool driver feature allows for easy conversion between different drivetrain standards without the need for specialized tools. Compatible standards include SRAM XD, SHIMANO MICRO SPLINE, and SHIMANO HG. This versatility makes the hubs adaptable to various bike setups.
EZO Bearings:
Smooth Rolling: Precision EZO Bearings are used in the hubs to ensure smooth rolling, which can improve ride quality and reduce energy loss.
Low Friction and Noise: These bearings are known for their low friction and minimal noise, contributing to a quieter and more efficient ride.
