Berd spokes have been on podiums winning gold and this wheelset may be the ticket to many more! Built lighter than ever, our new cross-country wheelset transforms acceleration into separation. The HAWK30 Gold is a purpose built XC race wheel, engineered for riders chasing the top step and personal bests.

The HAWK30 Gold gives confidence with a 30 mm internal width, 22 mm rim profile and nearly 250 grams shaved from our previous XC wheelset. The result? A blisteringly fast 1,022 grams wheelset that takes off the moment your tires touch dirt.

At the heart of the HAWK30 Gold is our brand new Berd Talon ESL hub, designed in partnership with Erase Components in Belgium. The Belgian made hubs feature a titanium freehub driver and 70 points of engagement while tipping the scale at only 333 grams for the set. ESL stands for Equal Spoke Length. This means you run the same spoke length rather than multiple lengths.

Keeping everything connected is the Berd PolyLight Spoke. These are the lightest bicycle spokes in the world and offer a smoother ride thanks to their natural vibration-damping properties.
